The creative process has always brought me great joy. Whether it involved sewing backpacks out of old towels with my grandma or painting anything I could get my hands on with my sisters, I experienced much joy with every creation, even at a young age. The excitement of creating new combinations of materials and brushstrokes made me giddy to create more.
As I have grown, the creative process has come to mean much more. Painting and lettering have become crucial respites as life has become more stressful and complex. Not only do the processes of painting and lettering bring me rest, but the colors, arrangements, and words I string together give me hope and remind me of the truths I have learned through my faith journey and my path of personal growth. This is a greater sense of joy, rooted in something much deeper than the simple creative process.
My passion is to spread this joy with every design I create, to bring purpose and hope into the ordinary of everyday life. I hope that every brushful inspires you to seek rest, hope, truth, and joy in the midst of your life.
